Who we are
My Story
Medicinal Mushrooms entered my life during my years of Tree Planting in the Canadian wilderness.
After planting millions of trees over the course of a decade, I learnt quite a bit about excelling energetically in this most challenging of jobs.
Tree planting can be a grueling task often carried out in the sweltering heat of summer, in the downpours of early spring and on the mountain sides of Canada’s rugged wilderness.
During my seventh season I started notice that caffeine wasn’t a great supplement for me and side effects had me feeling anxious and jittery.
And so I turned to Lion’s Mane and Cordyceps to help me through the day.
Lion’s Mane kept my mind clear and Cordyceps expanded my physical capacity.
Together, they helped show me the value of persevering through mental and physical challenges and helped me excel at the worksite.
It was an ideal combination for the challenge of tree planting.
So a routine that what was once a coffee craving in the morning and a mild energy crash in the afternoon turned into a long lasting, revitalizing feeling that supported me throughout the day thanks to the switch I made to these mushrooms.
It was here that a love for medicinal fungi was born.
Experiencing the effects first hand inspired me to dive deeper into this subject and explore the mycelial world.
Coupled with my love for forests these passions intertwined nicely and lead me to the creation of Cedar Grove Mushrooms.
It is now an honor to share these medicines with you and to create these tinctures with the utmost care and integrity.
I know what it’s like to rely on these mushrooms to succeed and so my mission is to create extracts that are potent, pure and affordable.
